1 ounce gold coin prices/jewelry pendant?

So if a 1 ounce .999 gold panda or any other brilliant uncirculated coin is worth today's gold value, how much is the same coin that is turned into a pendant. How much does the value drop from the current gold value?

Most coins turned into pendants would be set into a pendant coin holder so there is no damage to the actual coin – unlike long ago when they were soldered to attach the pendant fitting.

The gold value of the coin is determined by weight. I don’t think it would make any difference. It would take a long time for wear and tear to reduce the weight of the coin. Pendant coins on ebay sell for just as much as loose coins.

Putting a coin into a coin bezel or some other jewelery does not harm the coin however gold is highly susceptible to wear from rubbing against the neck or clothing which diminishes the value of the coin. I hope that helps.

The coin keeps its original value if it can be detached from the pendant unharmed. Now, if a jewelry designer designs the pendant and coin piece, the value may rise to reflect the uniqueness of the design and the quality of the art work.
