1914 quarter eagle $2. 50, gold coin indian on front, eagle on back

from my most recent coin guide book -2005 edition:

condition is everything in valueas

1914

VF(very fine)–$160
EF(extra fine)–200
AU(almost uncirculated)–250
MS-63(mint state)—-5500
PF-63(proof state)–$6750

there is also a 1914 D coin. the D would be on back to left of arrows

the D coins are worth a bit less than the plain.

since my book was published, gold has really risen in price. todays values would be higher than i stated.

the prices that i gave are retail prices, if you bought from a dealer, this is what you would expect to pay.

when you are selling to a dealer, you will get less.

*** the mint state and proof state coins, look like brand new, never been touched, no scratches, no wear, no flaws*****

And good luck rockhounding, that’s a nice hobby.
If you live anywhere near the Adirondacks, visit the
Old Hooper Mine on the back road above Thirteenth Lake,
off Route 28.
