I made some phone calls re purchasing pre 1933 gold certified coins to keep my funds safe. One man mistakenly thought I had given my OK to a deal when I had not and I had specifically told him I had not given him the go ahead or the contract yet. I told him I needed to check something out and would get back to him in 5-10 min if I wanted his deal. I did not call him back and he went ahead and billed me for it giving it a contract number. I cannot be legally indebted to his company as I see it. Does anyone with legal information have any input on this. I'm kinda upset over this nonsense.

I was recently looking at currency items on Ebay, and I came across a 1999 $25 dollar Proof Gold coin that was for sale, and noticed it had a "Buy It Now" price of $2,355 dollars. I am fairly new to collecting coins, so I was hoping someone could please possibly help me out with a question I had about that coin. Is this coin a "very rare" coin? Is it because it's been graded by chance? Or is it a rare coin as far as the year? I have searched all over the web trying to find this out, and realized several sites that deal in gold coins had several $25.00 gold coins for sell, but the 1999 coin wasn't available in their lists, they had surrounding years, but skipped 1999. Is this coin a "very rare" coin? I would greatly appreciate your help & response to this, It's driving me crazy trying to find out an honest response by searching the web, It interest me because i believe i may also have this coin in a collection i have in storage, but mine has not been graded. Details-
The box: on the front of the box it says "crown of crowns", inside the box in gold writting it says -
"coin struck by the royal mint, 22ct gold plated by craftsmen of england"
then there is a small leaflet thing with a picture of the coin on it saying, "coin pendants of quality from coin products of london" inside it shows the prices of different sovereigns and krugerrand.
The actual coin -
the coin is gold coloured with a bird and a crown on it on one side, with a swirly leaf thing, and on the otherside a picture of someone riding a horse, with "Elizabeth 2 dg.regfd, 1977 " enscripted on it, also the coing has a chain that you can have attached to it.
By the way im 16 sorry if the discription is a bit wierd... lol, anyway what is the coin for and can anyone value it?
